Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the Syaq Academy app (اكاديمية سياق) and the syaq.xyz platform, developed by Ghanem alkhaldi, collect, use, and protect data. By using the platform you accept this policy in full; if you do not agree, you must stop using it.

Who we are

  • App: اكاديمية سياق (Syaq Academy) — published on Google Play under the package name xyz.syaq.app, and on the web at syaq.xyz.
  • Developer and data controller: Ghanem alkhaldi — an individual developer based in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the developer named on the app’s Google Play listing.

Data we collect

  • Phone number: the basis of your account — for OTP sign-in, binding the account to your device, and protecting the platform from abuse.
  • Full name and study details: your three-part name as it appears on your ID, plus your university, major, the year you started university and your date of birth — requested once before the account can be used, to confirm the account belongs to a real student, to tie protected content to its owner, and to fit content to your stage of study. Once saved, they can only be changed through our team.
  • Profile photo (optional).
  • Device and session data: device identifier, type, app version, and sign-in records — to enforce the single-device policy and detect intrusion attempts and unauthorized sharing.
  • Learning and usage data: watch progress, notes on booklets, quiz results, review cards, and usage patterns — to operate features, improve the platform, and protect content.

How we use data

  • Operating the service and resuming your study where you left off.
  • Content and platform protection: we use your data — including watermarking content with your identity and device records — to detect leaks and abuse, trace their source, and take legal action.
  • Sending educational and operational notifications where permitted.
  • Complying with the law and defending our legal rights.

Published student reviews

When you send your review of the platform from inside the app (your star rating and any comment you write), you agree by default that we may publish it on syaq.xyz and its introductory pages under your name — your first name and the initial of your family name (for example “Ahmad A.”) — together with your major and university. There is no option to send a review for publication without your name: sending the review is the consent.
  • We may tidy your comment’s spelling and punctuation (with the help of AI tools) without changing its meaning, and we choose which reviews are published and when — not every review is published.
  • We never publish your phone number or your full name with your review.
  • To withdraw your consent or remove a published review, contact us (see “Contact” below) and we will take it down. Deleting your account deletes your review and anything published from it.

Data sharing

We do not sell your data. We may share it only with technical service providers acting on our behalf (hosting, content delivery, verification and notification delivery) to the extent needed, where required by law, or to protect the rights of the platform and its users.

Retention

We retain data while the account exists and as needed for the purposes above. We may retain protection and abuse-detection records as long as necessary to defend our rights, even after account closure, to the extent permitted by law.

Account deletion

You can permanently delete your account at any time in two ways, both confirmed with a verification code: inside the app via Profile → Delete account, or on the web without the app via the Delete account page. Your phone number, name, photo, study details and date of birth, learning data, notifications, support tickets and usage logs are deleted immediately, and every session is closed. We keep only financial records for as long as the law requires, and security records without your name or number — details on the deletion page.

Security

We apply appropriate technical measures (transport encryption, single-device sessions, short-lived signed links). No system can be guaranteed absolutely secure, and we are not liable for breaches beyond our reasonable control.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy at any time; the version published here takes effect immediately upon publication. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
